Hanna Päivikki Konola

Hanna Päivikki Konola is a designer and illustrator living and working in Helsinki, Finland. She was born in a small northern town in Finland, and has since studied at the Aalto University, Helsinki, Bergen National Academy of the Arts and Tama Art University, Tokyo.

“My inspiration comes from everything I see and encounter, and my work is strongly connected to everyday life. In my work process, I need time and space to think. I value both the analytical and the intuitive side of working, I write and sketch things down and I also just draw without analysing it too much – and to give space to the randomness of the working process. From there I find something that is new to me and something I become interested in. The outcome is often playful yet sensitive, light but bold and seemingly simple. I think my work is easy to approach but has a deeper sensitivity to it. “ - Hanna Päivikki Konola
